The Columbian Dubstep Cartel Presents:

~RESO~
(TFA/Household)

Reso is simultaneously moving a whole spectrum of electronic genres forward while further cementing his place as the overlord of hi-tech dubstep. With Reso wobble, hypercrunk, breaks, wonky, hip-hop and D n B all receive the treatment. Reso’s deep musicality, incredible skill, intricate programming and wildly diverse references place him at the peak of a new breed of electronic producers.
The sonic counterpart to roaring robotic futurism, Reso’s hybrid of rising ambience, hyper beats and speaker busting tech-basslines feels more suited to a post apocalyptic Tokyo than the contemporary concrete of most Dubstep. A truly inspiring experience his music’s mech-mania induced synthesesia conjures images of neon-tinged neo-Japanese cityscapes, powerful hulking automatons and violent bassline machismo.

After killer 12inches « If Ya Can’t Beat Em » and « Heavy Arms EP » (both on Civil Music) and a host of remixes from Wiley, the Qemists to Crookers through Drop The Lime, Reso kicked off 2010 with a bang. His 2x12inch Temjin EP opens his new musical worlds to the wider electronic audience and rewards the playstation generation, loyal club kids and seasoned steppers who go wild for Reso’s productions already. Reso’s diverse references will draw fans from all realms of the electronic spectrum. Emotive and unique, Reso’s new rhythmic possibilities and perfectly chaotic programming make this essential for fans of Dubstep through Techno to IDM, from Skream to Thom Yorke to Rustie via Bukem.

As Reso moves towards his debut album for Civil Music due early 2011 he's dropped his "In Da Mix" CD on Z-Audio, joined the Hospital Records Family to showcase his genre redefining DnB skills with Slap Chop and squeezed in Remixes for Drop the Lime, Foamo, Qemists and dEbruit amongst others.
Currently busy preparing his Live show (in between touring the USA and Europe). His sonic take over is surely underway.

CDC Presents HD4000 - Dr. Awkward - Cody Breeze - ALEX HENDRIX ----David Fields was sick.

Photobucket

The Columbian Dubstep Cartel Presents a night of dubstep debauchery Feat.

HD4000:
HD4000 is actually two people: Odeed and Wish. After producing breaks together under various aliases since 2003, they discovered dubstep one evening in San Francisco - playing breaks at a underground party for a close friend of theirs. Odeed and Wish were the only act that night that wasn’t playing dubstep, and after their set, they stayed to hear what it was all about. They were pretty impressed, then after hearing some of 6Blocc’s tunes they decided to give it a go and made their first song as HD4000, “Guess Who”. The name HD4000 was inspired by the latest addition to their dual studios - the MPC4000, which replaced the MPC2000XL they used to sequence on. One of the main differences is that the new MPC has an internal hard drive, and so Hard Drive 4000 = HD4000. They received a lot of good feedback about “Guess Who” and continued making dubstep, eventually finding themselves up in the chat room of dubstep.fm with the radio deejays playing the newest tunes from HD4000. Before they knew it, Odeed and Wish had produced enough songs to compile HD4000’s first album, Nu-Step, and to their surprise, it became the number 1 downloaded dubstep album on Juno. They have releases out on several labels such as Filthy Digital, Dubstep Records, Left Side Recordings and their home label, W.E. Recordings. Artists they have worked with include some of the hottest producers in dubstep such as Kid Logic, The Widdler, Blackheart, Mr. Curtamos, Hellfire Machina, MK2, J Suave, Joint Forces, Caustik, Twitchdubs, and VoodooSteamBoat.
Now HD4000 has their own weekly show on dubstep.fm - Hits from the Hard Drive at 5pm PST on Sundays. Check it out, and join in with the dubstep.fm family in the chat room!
